Mission Statement
1. Mission We design the integration of a working person in his social and natural environment with the goal of longterm stability and added value.
2. Identity We consider us as ‘Trusted Advisors’, i.e. as appreciating and, if necessary, critical counsellors and companions.
3. Values Our values are: Clearness, strength, consequence and consistency. In search of new solutions we encourage a change of perspective. We appreciate, respect and encourage people in their diversity.
4. Philosophy ICO follows its systemic consulting approach since its founding in 1994. Intellectual inspirations are biologist Frederik Fester with his cybernetic approach and sociologist Niclas Luhmann with his thesis of new complexity. Thus it is important to display entrepreneurial action in a bigger picture and to connect people according to their group dynamics and relevance. Furthermore we sympathize with physicist Niels Bohr and his approach of:’ We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.’ Meaning: Just as important as competence is in parts of a system is the competence in between the parts. To foster competence in and between the parts we look at nature with its inner and outer shape as a valuable study partner and an essential impulse trigger. We translate this in a tangible way using outdoor-methodology in form of moderated encounters between human nature and its external environment.
